Le Bozec Filtration & Systems S.A.S., a wholly owned subsidiary of Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI) and a division of the Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, announced today that the company has been selected by Airbus as a tier one supplier to equip the A350 XWB aircraft with a Donaldson Rain Repellent™ system.

The Donaldson Rain Repellent system improves windshield visibility for aircraft pilots. When windshield wipers are not effective in heavy rain, the pilot flips a switch to deliver a calibrated quantity of rain repellent fluid. In seconds, visibility is restored. Donaldsond's solution is an alternative to windshield coatings that have limited life and often result in optical distortion.

Donaldson optimizes the nozzle design for each aircraft so the proper amount of fluid is dispersed with homogeneity on the windshield. Donaldson's Rain Repellent fluid is non-toxic, non-flammable and CFC free. The rain repellent fluid is fast acting and long lasting with no build-up or distortion. And, the system is equipped with a visual gage to notify the pilot of the fluid level and pressure.

Donaldson Rain Repellent systems are currently installed on the Airbus A320 and A340 families, A350 XWB, A380 and the Dassault Falcon 7X. STC/PMA is available for the Boeing 737-100 to -500 models.
