On September, 30th, 2010 the first serially produced military-transport aircraft IL-76MF has risen in the air from the airfield of Tashkent aviation production association named after V.P.Tchkalov (Uzbekistan Republic).
The aircraft was piloted by the Russian-Uzbek crew. The aircraft commander – the chief-pilot of the JSC «Ilyushin Aviation Complex», the Hero of Russia, the honoured test pilot Nikolay Kuimov said: «The duration of the flight was 38 minutes and has passed without remarks. IL-76MF is a magnificent aircraft».
In comparison with basic model of the aircraft, IL-76MF provides 25% increase in transport efficiency, 15 ton increase of take-off weight, enlarged fuselage by 6, 6 m and 20 ton increase of load-carrying capacity.
PS-90A-76 engines and the new integrated piloting and navigation equipment complies with all ICAO requirements on noise, emission, avigation accuracy and flights safety.
The IL-76MF aircraft is a new modification of IL-76 – one of the most numerous heavy military-transport aircraft of the world. More than 900 IL-76 aircraft of different modifications were delivered to the customers from various countries of the world.
IL-76MF was developed by the JSC «Ilyushin Aviation Complex» which is a part of a business unit formed on the basis of IRKUT Corporation
