Finmeccanica has won contracts with a total value of more than EUR 384 million through his companies SELEX Galileo, Alenia Aeronautica and SELEX Sistemi Integrati.
SELEX Galileo has won orders worth a total of approximately EUR 352 million.
Specifically, a contract, worth around EUR 242 million (over GBP 200 million) is for the supply of 88 Captor radar systems for the Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A programme. Deliveries are due to commence in 2012 with manufacturing taking place in Italy, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
In addition to this order, the company has recently been awarded contracts in Italy worth more than EUR 110 million for support and service solutions covering a number of programmes. These include the Eurofighter Typhoon, Tornado, Grifo radar, simulators and Mirach target drones.
Alenia Aeronautica, through its subsidiary Alenia North America, has signed a contract worth more than EUR 22 million (around USD 30 million) with the United States Air Force (USAF) to supply other two additional modernized and refurbished G.222 tactical transport aircraft for the use of the Afghan Air Force (AAF).
SELEX Sistemi Integrati has been awarded a contract worth EUR 10 million by the NATO Agency NACMA through ACSI (Air Command Systems International), the prime contractor for the Air Command and Control System (ACCS) programme to create two replication sites for the ACCS, which is used to manage air operations.
