Engenuity Technologies Inc. [TSX: EGY], a global leader in visualization and simulation software solutions, today announced an important strategic partnership with Diamond Visionics.
The two companies will work together to enhance the functionality of Engenuity's STAGE simulation toolkit by integrating Diamond Visionics' GenesisRT (Worldwide Database) product. This new partnership will bring a more powerful toolset to Engenuity's next-generation simulation offering, and drive growth in new vertical markets, such as urban simulation, homeland security and serious games.
"It is clear there are major changes afoot in the Military Simulation and Training market, and the requirement to rapidly produce high fidelity, highly realistic and accurately correlated visuals in simulation scenarios is one of the most important changes," said David Gdovin, President and Founding Partner, Diamond Visionics. "By partnering with Engenuity and bringing the GenesisRT technology to STAGE, we will be placing ourselves on the forefront of technological innovation."
The GenesisRT (Worldwide Database) allows users to rapidly produce highquality visual databases directly from source data, thereby enabling changes to be instantly visualized. Unlike fixed or static databases developed offline, GenesisRT automatically and continually loads terrain and other multiple types of source data into the simulation at runtime, as the user requires it. Using GenesisRT, a simulation no longer needs to be limited by the boundaries of the terrain database – it can potentially span the world.
GenesisRT will bring a highly advanced visual system to the industry-leading STAGE toolkit for unparalleled visual flexibility when developing simulation scenarios for both ground and air. "Teaming up with Diamond Visionics brings together the very best in cuttingedge VizSim technologies," says Patrice Commune, CEO, Engenuity Technologies. "Together, our companies will leverage our mutual strengths to develop more powerful long-term solutions that address the requirements of next-generation simulations."
The first customer shipment of the integrated solution is targeted for the end of 2006.
