L-3 Aviation Products announced today that Cessna has selected its GH-3900 Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS) and the FA2100 Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR) system for the Citation Longitude and Latitude business jets.
"We are proud that Cessna has once again turned to L-3 to fulfill its needs for advanced standby systems and data recorders," said Larry Riddle, vice president of sales and marketing, business and regional aircraft, for L-3 Aviation Products. "L-3 is committed to providing equipment for Cessna's growing line of business jets, and we welcome our continued role as a key supplier."
Certified to Level A software and hardware standards, the GH-3900 ESIS satisfies airworthiness requirements for almost any transport category fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft. Incorporating all important visual cues on a high-resolution, three-inch display, the instrument is a more precise and information-rich standby than traditional analog indicators. With a customizable layout, the GH-Series standby instruments can be modified to fit a wide range of primary avionics systems, giving pilots a familiar reference for flying the aircraft. Hardware enhancements include a variety of air data and heading input selections, as well as optional built-in accelerometers that provide external LRUs with relevant data.
The FA2100 CVR/FDR ensures compliance to the latest FAA, Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) and International Airworthiness requirements for recording Controller-Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC) digital aircraft messages. The FDR includes high-speed data rate throughput capability to maximize the number of aircraft flight parameters that can be recorded and the sampling rates for each parameter.
