MD Helicopters, Inc. announced today the selection Genesys Aerosystems' new-generation Integrated Display Units (IDUs) as standard aboard its iconic twin-engine helicopter, the MD 902 Explorer. The Genesys system features an FAA-certified open architecture and will be available Q3 2017.

“After an exhaustive search and ongoing evaluation of available and developing glass cockpit systems, I am confident the Genesys IDU-680 will deliver rapid and enduring innovations for our operators,” Tilton continues. “Its 100% digital and upgradeable open architecture will enable rapid integration and certification not only on the MD 902, but across our growing scout attack platforms, as well.”
In addition to its standard installation on the MD 902, MD Helicopters will certify the Genesys Aerosystems IDU-680 System as the primary integrated cockpit solution for the MD 6XX Concept aircraft, the MD 530G light scout attack helicopter, and on the MD 530F to support both commercial and military configurations.
