Today, 1st October 2009, Aerolia is pleased to announce the integration in its perimeter of the Systems personnel and activities from Airbus Saint-Nazaire.
This agreement is part of the Airbus strategy to concentrate on its core activities of aircraft architect and integrator. With an annual production of 250,000 shaped pipes, 35,000 welded tubes and 6,000 subassemblies at Saint-Nazaire, Aerolia is reinforcing its human competencies and its technologies adapted to its strategy of systems activity development.
"Systems" an additional asset for Aerolia
"My message is first addressed to the women and men of the Systems Unit. On behalf of all our teams I would like to welcome them to Aerolia, a company on a human scale but with global ambitions" said Christian Cornille, CEO of Aerolia.
"As No. 1 in French aerostructures, the acquisition of this Systems activity will enable us to progress even further in our vision of the future ; this extension of our specialities will permit us to offer complex and modular subassemblies to our customers and section assemblies to certain aircraft manufacturers" he underlined.
Specialised teams, a worldwide exclusivity
154 employees implement innovating technologies on the Saint-Nazaire site, such as:
• bending of pipes up to diameters of 228.6 mm
• laser welding and cutting for a wide range of aluminium, titanium, stainless steel and even Inconel alloys.
The integrated activity line associating teams from Engineering and Production guarantees that the wishes of Aerolia's customers are taken into account in terms of quality, costs and delivery flexibility.
Already designer and supplier for several customers, Aerolia has been selected for the design and manufacture of hydraulic and cabin systems tubes and pipes to equip the whole Airbus A350 XWB fuselage.
With this latest acquisition, Aerolia confirms its progress and paves the way for new contracts world-wide.
