ASX released a new video of a recent successful test flight. This test of it sub-scale aircraft demonstrates that not only the hardware (aircraft vehicle), but also the company's software (control simulations) works in flight.
This demo tested the following:
- Auto take off, way point navigation, auto-land, and emergency landings
- Wind corrections (e.g. how does the controller and tuning react to wind situations)
- New control logic (auto-partial-tilt when flying in windy conditions)
- Aircraft flight controls in SITL (Software in the Loop)
- These simulation models will be used to generate flight control logic for a full-scale machine. The funds raised from this round will be used to optimize ASX's flight control system and build a full scale prototype.
