Hungarian small plane crosses the Atlantic Ocean

Magnus Aircraft's internal combustion engine powered two-seater light aircraft began its journey from Pécs- Pogány, Hungary on the 18th of August 2022 to arrive at the company's US headquarters in Florida, crossing 9 countries and the Atlantic Ocean. No aircraft of this type has ever made such a long journey from Hungary.

Today, on its third day of flight yesterday, the aircraft has completed the distance between Scotland and Iceland and is currently at Reykjavík Airport.

Magnus Aircraft Zrt. is a dynamically developing Hungarian company that develops, manufactures and markets innovative composite aircraft. The company's iconic product is the Fusion internal combustion engine powered aircraft, combining the advantages of aero. The company group is present in numerous countries around the world, including the United States, Kenya, China, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and the Middle East region.

For the company's first time as a Hungarian aircraft manufacturer, its Fusion 212 aircraft will perform a cross- continental ferry flight in August 2022. Starting from Hungary, it will cross Europe and the Atlantic Ocean in the air to arrive in the Americas.

The journey is made by the 2018 Magnus Fusion two-seat aircraft, registered HA-XAE and powered by the ULPower UL260iSA engine. This is the aircraft that has passed the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for emergency maneuvers, which allows Magnus Fusion aircraft to be used in UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) in the United States.

In the first transatlantic ferry flight in the company's aviation history, the outstanding performance of this ultra-light, unique-looking, single-engine aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 600kg serves to highlight the potential of the Hungarian minds with its worldwide reputation.

Following a successful arrival in the US, the Magnus Fusion aircraft will make appearances at several US cities, airports, and iconic sites during its nearly two-month campaign tour, before finally arriving at the company's headquarters in DeLand, Florida.
