Turkish Aerospace has been awarded once again by Spirit AeroSystems, one of the biggest companies in the field of aerostructures, as “2021 Success Partner”, due to zero scrap and timely delivery in the field of aerostructures. Thus, Turkish Aerospace has now collected a total of 5 awards from Spirit and has been mentioned as a business partner instead of a supplier for the first time.
Turkish Aerospace which is among the world's leading aerostructure companies with half a century of experience, continues the cooperation with Spirit which was started in 2002 and has delivered more than 5 million aircraft parts to Spirit on time in the past 19 years, with an aim to deliver 560,000 aircraft parts to Spirit in 2023. The company is also the single source supplier in the world for more than 3500 semi-assembly parts used in Boeing aircraft, and aims for the first delivery of Section48 of Boeing 737 Max-8 aircraft at the end of 2022.
Turkish Aerospace also continue to deliver "Fixed Trailing Edge" a total of 2 interior and 2 exterior spars in a set of aircraft and reached the delivery of 300th set of the project for the aircrafts. The company aims to deliver a total of 1770 aircraft sets to Spirit within the scope of the project.
Sharing his opinions on the deliveries made by the company, President and CEO of Turkish Aerospace, Prof. Temel Kotil said, “Our company has brought many capabilities to our country in the field of aviation industry with its half-century of experience. We continue to work meticulously, as we do our production to represent our country. This dedication is the basis of this international trust in our company. Turkish Aerospace has been awarded 5 times from Spirit for our undamaged and just-in-time deliveries. I thank all my colleagues who put in valuable effort for timely and perfect production and delivery process”.
Turkish Aerospace has been awarded the 2011 – Platinum Supplier, 2015 – International Supplier of the Year, 2016 – International Supplier of the Year, 2020 – Supplier of the Year awards from Spirit, and this time the company has recently been awarded the 2021 “Success Partner” award. Thus, Turkish Aerospace, which has been collaborating as a supplier since 2002, was evaluated as a “Business Partner” by Spirit in 2022.
