Ampaire Inc., a leader in hybrid electric aircraft systems, demonstrated the endurance capabilities of its hybrid Electric EEL demonstrator aircraft through a record endurance flight on December 10, 2023, in Camarillo, CA.

Ampaire believes the flight establishes a new record for hybrid electric aircraft endurance with a total flight time of 12 hours exactly and over 2 hours of fuel and battery reserves remaining.

The EEL demonstrator aircraft has been pivotal in advancing high-powered electronics, inverters, motors, and associated systems. The aircraft has served as the backbone for Ampaire's innovative AMP-H570 AMP Drive™ hybrid electric propulsion unit currently flying in Ampaire's Eco Caravan, which has achieved a remarkable 50 to 70 percent reduction in fuel consumption and emissions compared to traditional Pratt & Whitney PT6 turboprop engines.
