Junkers is taking part in the Aero Show to unveil its latest model, the Junkers A50 Heritage ultralight aircraft. Joining in on the celebration will be the Junkers A50 Junior, the Junkers A60 and the WACO YMF-5 biplane.

Junkers is pleased to announce its participation in this year’s Aero Fair in Friedrichshafen. The show will take place from April 17-20 and will be atended by aviation enthusiasts from all over the world.

Visitors will find Junkers in Hall A3, Stand 117, where the company will be presenting the following aircraft: the Junkers A50 Junior, the Junkers A50 Heritage, the Junkers A60 and the WACO YMF-5.

Junkers A50 Junior

The Junkers A50 Junior is a 600 kg ultralight aircraft that is based on its historic 1929 model of the same name. The low-wing aircraft combines historical flair with the latest technology. As standard equipment, the aircraft is ofered with a Rotax 912iS / 4-cylinder fuel injected 100 hp engine, 2-blade MT propeller, Beringer brakes, Garmin avionics (G3X) and a Galaxy ballistic parachute rescue system. This enables flights with the highest standards of reliability and safety.

Global Unveiling: Junkers 50 Heritage

With the global launch of the Junkers A50 Heritage, Junkers presents an ultralight aircraft that is faithfully reconstructed from the original design from the 1920s. In contrast to the Junkers A50 Junior, the Junkers A50 Heritage is equipped with a 7-cylinder radial engine (Verner Scarlet 7U / 124 hp) which, together with a wooden MT propeller and analogue instruments, provides an even more authentic flying experience. Beringer brakes and the Galaxy rescue system are carried over from the A50 Junior as standard equipment.

Junkers A60 With Canopy

The Junkers A60 is the latest Junkers production model and, like its sister aircraft, is based on the historic design concepts which informed the construction of the A50 Junior. A newly developed tripod retractable undercarriage, and above all, the fact that the pilot and passenger sit next to each other in the cabin, provide a unique sense of style and an enhanced flying experience.

The Junkers A60 will be presented to the public with canopy for the first time at the Aero Fair 2024.

WACO YMF-5, Built In Battle Creek (USA)

These new-production, modern biplanes with their historic look are seeing increased interest in the European market. The WACO YMF-5 on display at the trade fair with its 300 hp/7-cylinder radial engine conveys the look and feel of flying in the “Golden Age” of aviation.

The aircraft is hand-built in precise accordance with the original plans from the 1930s with great atention to every detail. The construction standard and technology integrations, however, are fully modernized to maximize the pleasure and safety of its pilot and passengers. The bespoke biplane ofers exclusive leather seating and trim while the Garmin avionics package delivers the highest level of navigation and visual information to the adventurous aviator.
