Samad Aerospace has started the certification process of its Starling Cargo aircraft. With a cruising speed of 95mph, a flight ceiling of 10,000 feet and a range of up to 135 miles the eVTOL should enable point to point air cargo with a 50kg payload. The aircraft will be remotely piloted with auto pilot capability.
Samad claims that it has seen interest in its Starling Cargo aircraft from a number of industry sectors that need to transit high value cargo including oil and gas, gemstone mining, medical logistics and emergency response. The aircraft can be used to deliver humanitarian cargo of food, medicine and equipment to remote regions of the world with underdeveloped or damaged local infrastructure.
Dr. Seyed Mohseni, ceo of Samad, says: “Our fully electric VTOL Starling Cargo aircraft will change the future of transportation, reducing the emissions and carbon footprint of air cargo.”
Samad expects to begin deliveries in Q4 2022, with preorders of the Starling Cargo available now.
