Avions Mauboussin has conducted the first flight of a small-scale model of its Alerion M1h at the Montbéliard-Courcelles aerodrome. This inaugurates the flight test phase which will validate the aerodynamic choices and calculations, performance and flight qualities.
The first aircraft of the Avions Mauboussin range, the Alerion M1h is a fast and slender 'fighter' aircraft, intended for the pilot-owner and training market. An innovative aircraft with a natural composite structure and hydrogen propulsion, it can transport the pilot and one passenger, as well as their luggage, for a weekend or a professional meeting.
The second proposed model in the company's range, the Alcyon M3c, will have a capacity of five passengers, a range of 800nm (1,500km) and will reach a cruising speed of 200kts (370km/h).
Capable of performance in accordance with the needs of modern mobility (flexibility of use, landing/take-off as close as possible to the origin and final destination of travelers and discreet) all while respecting contemporary values, the company says the Alcyon M3c, just like Alerion M1h, will be the symbol of the rebirth of modern aviation and what it should represent.
