Final Gulfstream G650 rolls off the line
Thursday, 13 February 2025
The last G650 has moved to Gulfstream’s Appleton facility for completions before delivery, while the fleet continues to set records and influence the next generation of aircraft.

The final Gulfstream G650 has finished production and will be completed at the company’s Appleton, Wisconsin, facility before delivery later in the year.

“Since their inception, the G650 and G650ER have become the industry standard that all others have followed, recently surpassing a staggering 1 million flight hours,” says Gulfstream president, Mark Burns. “Beyond the program’s innumerable accolades and 125+ world speed records, innovations introduced with the form, fit and precision manufacturing process of the G650 laid the groundwork for today’s next-generation Gulfstream fleet.”

The G650 family has achieved milestones including a 2015 round-the-world flight with one stop and a 2019 record-breaking nonstop flight from Singapore to Tucson, Arizona. The aircraft also played a key role in the 2019 “One More Orbit” mission, setting a Guinness World Record for the fastest circumnavigation of Earth over both poles. The aircraft was also the platform for the first business jet flight using 100% sustainable aviation fuel in 2022.

Gulfstream will continue supporting the G650 fleet with retrofit options such as the Honeywell Primus Epic Block 3 avionics and Starlink internet. Burns adds: “While this will be the final G650 produced, the fleet’s high utilization and dispatch reliability mean these aircraft will serve customers for decades to come.”

The aircraft’s successor, the Gulfstream G800, features Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, a high-speed wing and winglet and the Symmetry Flight Deck with a Combined Vision System. Designed to fly up to 8,000 nautical miles, the G800 is expected to receive FAA certification in the first half of 2025.
