Aernnova Aerospace Mexico, SA de CV (ANN) is pleased to announce that Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC), Wichita, Kansas, has selected Aernnova to become its Center of Excellence for the production of wings. With this contract Aernnova will be the sole supplier of these wings models: Bonanza, Baron, King Air, Premier and Hawker 400XP, all of them executive models.
HBC, a leader company specialized in a wide range of executive airplanes, was founded in 1932 in Wichita (USA), has 8.000 employees and $3500 million of turnover.
Aernnova Mexico has facilities for metallic parts manufacturing and structural assemblies. The signing of this contract corroborates Aernnova´s decision to consolidate its production capacity in Mexico as strategy to approach new U.S. customers.
Being the USA biggest market of civil aircrafts, it represents 30% of the global market and it is also where most of the OEM have their operation sites. All these characteristics makes North America the center for implantation of strategic activities, while it reduces the exposure of a market that operates mainly in U.S. Dollars.
Aernnova has invested in Mexico $44 million in two facilities, located in Queretaro State and inaugurated in 2.009 by the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderón.
