Crane Aerospace & Electronics has been selected by Embraer to provide the Landing Gear and Hydraulic Control Units (LGHCU) and associated sensors for the Embraer Legacy 450 and 500 Executive Jets.
The LGHCU's function on the aircraft is to monitor and control the position of landing gear and landing gear doors, hydraulic valves, and nose wheel steering. Both the Legacy 450 and the Legacy 500 jets will include two LGHCUs and several dozen proximity sensors.
Rick Jones, Senior Vice President of Aerospace Solutions, said, "We have a long-standing relationship with Embraer and are pleased to be working with them on this important system for their Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 Executive Jets."
