Airbus is offering even more interior choices for A350 XWB customers with the addition of Zodiac Seats France as a contracted seat supplier for the company's next-generation widebody jetliner.

Under terms of an agreement signed with Airbus, Zodiac Seats France – which previously operated under the name Sicma Aero Seat – will offer two new seat versions for the A350 XWB. They are the company's "Cirrus" version, to be configured in a four-abreast herringbone configuration for the long-haul, high-comfort business class market; and the "Arcus" – to be featured in a seven-abreast forward-facing arrangement for regional and higher-density business class accommodations.

Both take full advantage of the A350 XWB's extra-wide cabin, providing a high level of comfort while preserving seat pitch and seat count. In particular, the "Cirrus" herringbone arrangement facilitates direct aisle access for passengers at a seat pitch of approximately 42 inches.

Zodiac Seats France's addition as an Airbus-contracted seat supplier follows that of JAMCO America, which was announced last March with the "Journey" seat. Together with the Sogerma "Solstys" business class seat, this steady enhancement of the A350 XWB catalogue provides a wide array of cabin outfitting choices for customers.

The "Cirrus" and "Arcus" seats are planned for inclusion in a revised A350 XWB catalogue by year-end.

By working with such contracted suppliers as Zodiac Seats France, JAMCO America and Sogerma, Airbus enables a wide choice of interior offerings through the dedicated catalogue that includes different types of seats, galleys and other interior equipment. This gives customers the most flexibility in configuring their jetliners with pre-developed interior solutions, and also provides them the freedom to negotiate directly with interior suppliers.
