PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Cub Crafters Inc.
Today CubCrafters announced its latest product innovation to improve performance on the Sport Cub S2. Testing of the new Sensenich 'Ground Adjustable Propeller' has shown it to be a coveted weapon in the Sport Cub's arsenal of optional equipment. The 'Ground Adjustable Propeller' has validated an over 10 pound reduction in weight compared to the McCauley Metal Propeller, and adds an element of versatility to every flight. If long trips are on the agenda, change the pitch cartridge to the cruise configuration and go. If floats, skis, or tundra tires are the order of the day, change to one of the many flatter pitch settings for more power and better takeoff and climb performance. We have seen a rate of climb increase up to 200 fpm and cruising speeds over 120 mph! Additional benefits to the new propeller are: Improved flexibility, allowing you to change the pitch at your discretion; Quieter, smoother flying characteristics overall; and if one blade is damaged, it can be easily replaced, or shipped to the factory for repairs.
Chairman Jim Richmond commented, "This is a great option! It's light, smooth, quiet, easily adjusted, and versatile. What's not to like? The weight savings alone make this a clear choice. We can fully equip our Sport Cub S2 with all of our available options ... 26" tundra tires, big tailwheel, Deluxe "Flat" Panel, and still not exceed the 890 Lbs LSA empty weight limit."
Richmond concluded, "We spent over two weeks testing the prop in actual climb and glide tests, max RPM speed tests, and fuel flow tests. We are very happy to offer the Sensenich Ground Adjustable, Carbon Fiber Propeller to our product line. It fits our airplane well."
The new Sensenich 'Ground Adjustable Propeller' is now available for all Sport Cub S1 & S2 models as optional equipment or as a retrofit kit.
