Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract from Irkut Corporation to supply the flight data recording system for use on the MC-21 aircraft. Under the agreement, Curtiss-Wright Controls Avionics & Electronics (CWC-AE) division will provide Irkut with the MC-21's ISSKOR data recorder system, an integrated flight data acquisition, monitoring, processing and recording solution. The initial contract is valued at $21 million, with an estimated potential value in excess of $50 million over the life of the program. Shipment of the products is scheduled to begin in February 2015.

The Curtiss-Wright Controls CWC-AE division will be manufacturing the products covered by this agreement at its Christchurch, UK facility. The products will be shipped to Irkut in Moscow, Russia.
