DAHER-SOCATA, the Aerospace & Defence division of DAHER, is proud to be a major partner of the Falcon 8X, the new high-end aircraft launched by Dassault Aviation on May 19, the eve of the opening of the top European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva.
DAHER-SOCATA has put its specialist experience in cutting-edge technologies, along with its assembly expertise, engineering know-how and its capacity to control the entire supply chain, to optimum effect to provide Dassault Aviation with support on the 8X programme.
Design and manufacture of major aerostructure components Already a partner in Falcon programmes 5X and 7X, which recently saw the maiden flight of the 250th aircraft, DAHER-SOCATA is responsible for the design and manufacture of major aerostructure components of the new aircraft, including:
• the upper section of the passenger cabin,
• the belly fairing.
A long-term partnership with Dassault Aviation
In addition to the aerostructure components supplied under the Falcon 7X programme, DAHER-SOCATA is a major partner in the Falcon 5X programme, for which it supplies in particular the upper section of the passenger cabin, also equipped with an emergency exit door and a baggage compartment door, as well as the forward lower section of the fuselage.
In addition, DAHER-SOCATA will continue to offer value-added solutions for its customer Dassault Aviation for the Falcon family of aircraft. Its Integrated Industrial Support TM offer is being deployed to secure the supply chain, in particular for the following activities:
• Logistics: local logistics and supply for the final assembly line; spare parts,
• Project transport: aerostructures and large parts (fuselage sections and wings).
"As a longstanding partner of Dassault Aviation and the Falcon 5X and 7X programmes, we are proud to be participating in this new programme, which is representative of success and industrial excellence", concluded Stéphane Mayer. "The 7X has seen a level of commercial success unprecedented in Falcon history. More than 200 aircraft have been delivered since certification in 2007. We are now preparing to ensure the success of the other programmes."
