Boeing has awarded Aciturri a contract to supply center fuselage passenger door surrounds for the 787 Dreamliner. The contract includes the manufacture of metal components and composite materials and the assembly of the surround structure of the passenger door. First delivery is expected in mid 2015. Aciturri was selected following onsite visits by Boeing earlier this year to determine the company's technical and industrial capability as well as its ability to manage complex projects in a globalized market.
Becoming a direct supplier to Boeing on the 787 Program is a milestone for Aciturri in its goal of expanding its presence in the global aerospace market.
