AIDC went to the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK to expand its business. After securing an order of NT$7 billion in engine parts and components on the first day and signing multiple technical cooperation agreements with European and American manufacturers, AIDC won contract renewals from two major European aviation manufacturers on July 23.
Both orders are for the production and manufacturing of components for civilian single-aisle passenger aircraft. AIDC's excellent quality and accurate delivery of aviation products have been highly recognized by international manufacturers, so this contract renewal will extend the cooperation between the two parties until 2029, which will make a stable contribution to AIDC’s revenue in the next few years.
In the field of airframe manufacturing, in addition to traditional metal processing, AIDC also has expertise in the field of composite materials. AIDC’s Taiwan Advanced Composite Center (TACC) specializes in the production of high-end aviation composite components. At the Farnborough International Airshow, AIDC also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with a major aviation manufacturer also located in Asia. The MoC is aimed at the exchange of experience in composite materials and metal drawing technology. It is hoped that through bilateral production capacity complementation and strategic cooperation, it will provide benefits for both parties in the future.
The proportion of composite material applications is often regarded as an important indicator of the advancement of aircraft. Therefore, in these signing ceremonies, manufacturers from Europe, America and Asia all enthusiastically exchanged opinions with AIDC. Whether it is composite materials or metal, Taiwan is heading towards the world and is expected to form further cooperation and expand its business territory in the future.
