Avio Aero and Aircraft Industries, the member of OMNIPOL Group, have signed a multi-year agreement for up to 40 new H80 and H85 turboprop engines to power Aircraft Industries’ L 410 UVP-E20 and the L 410 NG aircraft.
“We are very pleased to continue being a key partner of Aircraft Industries, supporting its L 410 fleet expansion with our H-Series turboprop engines family,” says Pierfederico Scarpa, Vice President Strategy, Marketing and Sales of Avio Aero. “This agreement will allow us to reinforce the strategic collaboration with the leading Czech aircraft company, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to deliver high-level products and services to our customers. Furthermore, this new contract contributes to ensure the crucial role of our Prague plant in our European positioning and development plan.”
H80 and H85 are part of the H-Series turboprop engine family, which offers a customized range of ratings and performance making it suited for a large variety of applications and operations. The H-Series family of engines, with its legacy model, has accumulated more than 21 million flight hours, demonstrating its reliability and capacity in remote, harsh environments. Furthermore, these engines family offer a low maintenance operation and a high time between overhauls (TBO) interval, up to 4000 hours. The H-Series are 100% Czech turboprop engines, entirely developed and manufactured at the Avio Aero Prague plant.
“At Aircraft Industries, we deeply appreciate our long-term cooperation with the Avio Aero turboprop center of excellence of Prague, and we are pleased to announce the signature of such important agreement. We are truly proud that our L-410 aircraft is powered by the H-Series engines, which build on the tradition and quality of Czech Walter aviation engines. The performance and reliability have been proven in the harshest conditions worldwide, and we are excited to work together with our partner from Avio Aero in continuous innovation and improvements," adds Chairman of the Board at Aircraft Industries Ing. Alena Medova, MBA.
The L 410 NG is the latest model in the L 410 series. It is a newly developed aircraft based on modern design principles, fulfilling the requirements for excellent operational economy, high reliability, and safety, while offering multirole performance. Modern production technologies, innovative design solutions, state-of-the-art Garmin 3000 avionics (complete glass cockpit), and TCAS and TAWS safety systems are integrated into the aircraft. The aircraft is powered by the H85-200 engine and AV 725 propeller. It was developed based on customer requirements for a modern aircraft with longer range, higher payload, multirole capability, safety, and economical operation.
