Bombardier Aerospace has selected Kidde Aerospace & Defense, a Hamilton Sundstrand business, to supply the Fire Protection System for the Bombardier CSeries commercial aircraft family. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) .
The integrated Fire Protection System comprises advanced technology smoke detectors, fire detectors, environmentally friendly fire extinguishers and integrated control electronics.
"Hamilton Sundstrand is proud to supply the fire protection for Bombardier's new CSeries commercial aircraft family," said Bob Leduc, president, Hamilton Sundstrand Flight Systems.
