PBS Group successfully tested the first jet engines assembled in the USA
Wednesday, 18 December 2024

The PBS Group has successfully tested its first jet engines finalized in the United States of America. The Czech aerospace manufacturer is ready to invest 480 million CZK in the localization and expansion of production in the USA. This is a key milestone that confirms the technical maturity of PBS Group's products and strengthens its position on the US market. Testing was carried out in accordance with the most stringent standards of the aviation industry and focused on the performance, reliability and safety of jet engines originating from Velké Bíteš.

"The successful completion of the tests represents not only a significant step for PBS Group, but also for our activities in the USA, where we are already continuously approaching the localization of production. This step is a direct result of our strategy to expand our presence in global markets and our efforts to get closer to our customers," said Pavel Čechal, Executive Director of PBS Group.

The engine testing closely follows the company's previous announcement of its plans to select a site for future jet engine production directly in the United States. This plan confirms PBS Group's long-term vision, which includes strengthening relationships with key partners and customers in the U.S. and developing technological cooperation on a global level.

The Czech manufacturer PBS Group's jet engines are used in a range of aerospace applications including missiles, target practice, high-speed drones and combat drones. So far, the lower performance PBS TJ40 series has been tested in Florida, to be followed by the higher performance PBS TJ80, PBS TJ100 and PBS TJ150 series. These engines being tested are made from parts manufactured in the Czech Republic, with finalization and testing taking place in the United States.

PBS Group is currently creating production conditions and building a supply chain for the production of the parts in America. "Our goal is to fully assemble and test engines from parts manufactured in the United States as early as 2025. This is a major breakthrough for us, which is of strategic importance for the entire PBS Group, and it is also an important signal to our American customers with whom we have long-standing agreements for the production of jet engines," added Pavel Čechal.

PBS Group already operates in the United States through its subsidiary PBS Aerospace and has a long-standing focus on innovation in the aerospace and energy sectors. The successful testing of the engines is further confirmation of the high quality and reliability of the company's products, which have proven themselves in the global market.
