Liebherr-Aerospace and FACC have both earned a spot in the Boeing Premier Bidder Program. The program recognizes and rewards consistently high performing Boeing Commercial Airplanes suppliers and gives them an opportunity to increase their business with Boeing.
Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Lindenberg (Germany), Liebherr’s centre of excellence for flight controls, actuation, gears and gearboxes, landing gear systems and electronics, produces for the 777X the folding wing tip actuation, high-lift actuators (leading edge actuators built to spec, trailing edge actuators built to print) as well as the power drive unit and hydraulic motor for the leading edge actuation system. For the 777 / 777X the company provides the main gear steering system, for the 787 Dreamliner, the nose wheel steering remote electronic unit and for the KC-46 the refueling hose drum drive system.
Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Liebherr’s centre of excellence for air management systems based in Toulouse (France) signs responsible for the 747-8 air-conditioning system and engine bleed air system; and fuel tank pressure regulating valves for the 777-200LR as well as for the KC-46.
FACC is a leading technology group in the aerospace industry providing major structural assemblies to Boeing.
"Being accepted into Boeing's Premier Bidder Program is both a sigh of recognition and a mission for us," says Robert Machtlinger, FACC AG CEO. "This shows that we are on the right track with our best-in-class approach. At the same time, we are aware of the great responsibility involved. We will continue to strive toward continuously improving our efficiency to fulfill customer requirements. This is especially important during challenging times such as the current COVID-19 crisis," says Machtlinger.
“We are extremely proud to have been selected for the Boeing Premier Bidder Program. Over the years, sharing a same ambition and through mutual effort, Boeing and Liebherr have developed a proactive, open and trustful relationship. With our liaison office in Everett, we are ensuring a high proximity between both companies during ongoing as well as possible future aircraft programs. We are able to provide Boeing with a high level of support and reactivity”, states Nicolas Bonleux, Chief Commercial Officer, Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS.
The companies join approximately 100 suppliers that have met and/or sustained the high quality and delivery criteria required for inclusion in the Premier Bidder Program.
